Autumn has brought a lot of change to RFL Company Services Ltd. We’ve moved into a new office at the start of September, created new partnerships for cloud accounting software, as well as having introduced a new member to the team. The new offices are located at Basepoint, and has a stunning view of Exeter Canal and The Double Locks, although there’s no easy way to cross the railway tracks and reach the beautiful pub. The only downside is how distracting the 100s of sheep who pass our window every day are to Roy!
We’d like to welcome our new Accounts Clerk, Calum Becker, who has recently taken up an apprenticeship with us. Coming from a background of studying Mathematics and an AAT Level 2 in accounting, he has quickly settled into this role. We know he will be a great asset to the business.
Partnerships
As an existing accounting partner to Sage, we decided to incorporate Sage One into the business. Sage’s cloud based accounting software has different levels with Sage One start having similarities to Instant Accounts, whilst Sage Accounting has similarities to the more powerful Sage 50. As part of this new partnership, we are able to offer 30 copies of Sage Start for free, whilst also providing 3 copies of Sage Accounting for £10(+vat) per month for the life of the product.
We also made the decision to become a Silver Partner to Intuit QuickBooks Online. Some clients find Quickbooks has a more user-friendly interface than Sage. Thanks to this partnership and the certification we recently obtained, we also provide training in the use of QuickBooks Online, and to celebrate this we are providing 10 copies of Quickbooks online plus for £10 per month for life, when purchased through ourselves.
Cloud-based Accounting
Whilst desktop based bookkeeping programs are still the market leader, cloud based systems, such as Sage One and QuickBooks Online, offer real-time links between client and accountant, as we have access to your data in real time. This enhances our relationship with yourself, as we can focus less on compliance and more as a strategic partner, helping your business grow. We can therefore provide better advice on business wide issues, as we are up to date with your current financial position and circumstances. I for one, am in support of any tool that I can use to better support our clients.
